Any thoughts would I was prescribed gabapentin for nerve entrapment in my elbows, which was causing numbness and tingling in my hands and lower arms. Didn’t help much and I certainly didn’t notice any sedating effects at all. My allowable dose was up to 300 mg 3x a day, though, so not the max amount. So basically I used to get prescribed gabapentin for my anxiety and panic attacks. About a year ago I saw a new psychiatrist and he started saying “gabapentin is only FDA approved for neuropathic pain and seizures you don’t need to be taking that im taking you off it” even though every other doctor or psych I’ve seen had no problem prescribing it for off label use for my severe anxiety Gabapentin is so much safer and is barely rewarding or addictive unlike many other medications we can prescribe. Sure you need to taper when stopping but that's true of many medications. Gabapentin, on the other hand, is the best overall. In fact, I cant think of a single negative. It’s euphoric, relaxing, helps my anxiety, functional, no hangover, has an afterglow, and almost has a psychedelic touch to it. Basically, gabapentin is cool. Try gabapentin kids. Archived post. And how long did it take to start No I did not, I used just another generic telemedicine app for my appointment, but in my research saw Brightside DOES prescribe gabapentin to their patients. The way these apps work, the companies essentially decide what the physicians can prescribe.
