Clonidine is very helpful and from what I've read as long as you're not taking something like .5-.6 per day for a couple of weeks you can taper off fast and there will be no withdrawal or rebound hypertension. I find gabapentin or pregabalin useful during the taper or a quit. But the phenibut could affect your tolerance. Had anyone ever been prescribed both?
