Gabapentin is a drug treatment rarely tried in the borderline personality disorder community, where 36,721 members have shared their treatment experiences. Like everybody, i've been on "everything" up until now. Nothing compares to it. It's incredibly effective and works from the 3rd day. Borderline personality disorder (BPD) is a debilitating psychiatric disorder that affects 0.4–3.9% of the population in Western countries. Currently, no medications have been approved by regulatory agencies for the treatment of BPD. Nevertheless, up r/BPD is a community of people with BPD (EUPD) and people who know someone with BPD looking for mutual support and resources to help guide them through their journey. i was on gabapentin + seroquel for the past 6+ months. it’s safe to say it was not working lol, but i put a lot of that on how my doctor would never listen to me and wouldn’t put my seroquel dose above 25mg. i’d tell her it wasn’t helping me, and she would say “you’re expecting a miracle” and dismiss me. that there’s not much to do to help with bpd. As well as gabapentin 3x daily, propanalol for performance anxiety situations like work, and suboxone for opiate replacement treatment. How well does it work compared to anything else?
