I started taking gabapentin for anxiety as needed, then daily for migraines, and it seems to be a good combination with my fibromyalgia meds. It’s definitely worth looking into. Yes, gabapentin works on the neurotransmitter GABA, which inhibits the activity of brain cells. So, gabapentin and pregabalin are associated with feelings of fatigue. But fatigue can also be due to a fibromyalgia episode. My pets take Gabapentin and it is known to cause fatigue. Why would you take Gabapentin with CFS? People should definitely be informed about side effects/withdrawal effects before starting something like gabapentin but for any medication that's used for fibromyalgia you can find people who had a bad experience with it.
